Integrated Process Configuration
Coagulant and flocculant mixing with velocity-controlled agitators for proper dispersion and effective floc development ahead of flotation.
A fully engineered, purpose-built dissolved air flotation unit for dependable solids and oil separation across demanding industrial water treatment applications. We design, manufacture, and operate every unit — direct control over the technology, the critical components, and the quality of the finished system.
The Atlas DAF is a skid-mounted treatment unit with an overall footprint of approximately 35 ft by 10 ft, including walkway, process compartments, and structural skid. It is designed for fixed installation and longer-term service, providing a compact, stable, and accessible treatment platform.
Coagulant and flocculant mixing with velocity-controlled agitators for proper dispersion and effective floc development ahead of flotation.
Clarified water passes through three 6 in pass-through ports from the DAF section to the outlet buffer, supporting consistent flow through the unit.
Robust whitewater generation, controlled flotation, and managed chemical mixing improve floc formation, solids separation, effluent quality, and chemical efficiency.
Practical operation, safe access, and efficient maintenance. Skid-mounted configuration, integrated walkway, and accessible compartment layout.
Pumps, aeration components, and flotation internals are designed and built in-house to suit the demands of industrial water treatment service. Vertical integration means quality control and dependable parts availability across the fleet.
Pressurized aeration loop dissolves air into recycle water before controlled release into the flotation chamber.
Balanced whitewater manifolds for consistent aeration distribution across the flotation surface.
Engineered geometry and internal baffling for stable upflow velocity and effective separation.
Three 6 in pass-through ports transfer clarified effluent from DAF to outlet buffer with hydraulic balance.
Operator-adjustable water level control for tuning hydraulic profile to influent conditions.
Selective lobe pump arrangement for clean, continuous slop and skim removal.
Coagulant and flocculant preparation with controlled mixing energy for proper dispersion and floc development.
Recycle, flotation, and chemical mixing controlled from a single operator-oriented interface.
Expandable instrumentation and automation package available to suit project requirements.
Preliminary engineering data for a compact rectangular DAF intended for oilfield and industrial water treatment duty. All values shown in U.S. customary units; final figures confirmed against fabrication drawings and DHI internal review.
Hydraulic loading, residence time, and upflow velocity scale predictably with throughput. The recommended practical oilfield working range is 15,000–30,000 BPD — ample residence time and conservative upflow velocity.
| Throughput (BPD) | Influent (GPM) | Loading (gpm/ft²) | Upflow (ft/min) | Residence (min) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5,000 | 146 | 0.76 | 0.76 | 65.6 |
| 10,000 | 292 | 1.52 | 1.52 | 32.8 |
| 15,000 | 438 | 2.28 | 2.28 | 21.9 |
| 20,000 | 583 | 3.04 | 3.04 | 16.4 |
| 30,000 | 875 | 4.56 | 4.56 | 10.9 |
| 40,000 | 1,167 | 6.08 | 6.08 | 8.2 |

Engineering reference values across application categories. Final loading must be reviewed against particle type, chemistry program, inlet conditioning, and sludge removal strategy.
The Atlas operates across a wide envelope. The sweet spot for produced water duty is 15,000–30,000 BPD — comfortable residence time, conservative upflow velocity, headroom for chemistry changes.
The Atlas is designed for fixed installation or extended site deployment. Integrated walkway, accessible layout, and serviceable internals support long-term operation across variable industrial water qualities and solids loading conditions.
